MySpace Profiles

One of the best innovations of MySpace is giving it’s users the ability to fully customize the look and feel of their profile. Users can enter in HTML, the native web markup language to change things such as font, colors, and of course mouse cursors. This need to individualize your very own profile page as led to a proliferation of offshoot businesses and personal hobby websites built around providing the tools, images, and code for updating everything and anything on MySpace. Some of these companies charge a price for the usage but there are also many that offer the services for free. The only catch of the free service is leaving a link back to the original source. This helps the free service provider because it is a form of free advertising on your profile. The more links the provider gets to his website, the more popular they also become in the eyes of the search engines. The are able to provide their services for free because they use an advertising model on their website. When you reach their site, the ads there are what brings home the bacon for them.
